The Team:

The Finance team has been central to supporting the business through this continued growth. Headed up by Shaun McCabe (a proven Finance leader in Digital & Technology), the team is laser focused on thinking insight not simply numbers, adding value across the business and acting as a true commercial partner at every step.

To support our ambitious commercial goals, we’re expanding our world-class Finance team to drive the next stage of our development. 

The Role:

The ideal candidate will have already had some experience in a similar role, however passionate enthusiastic graduates looking to make their first career step will also be considered. The role is a permanent contract with study support for a professional qualification.

The role will be fast paced with changing demands and plenty of opportunity to get involved in one off projects and new challenges. This specification should be considered an outline of the key responsibilities but the right candidate should be open minded and keen to evolve the role once established.

 

Key responsibilities

o    Become a key business partner with several of the overheads departments, including legal and facilities. Such tasks include;

o    Attending monthly meetings with the business, helping to talk through key variance analysis and other commentary

o    Supporting business partners with queries

o    Posting month end journals

o    Month end reconciliations suitable for audit standard review

o    Assist the Management Accountant with the financial management of HR and Tech budgets

o    Work closely with the FP&A team to ensure that costs are in line with the latest forecasts and support the budgeting/re-forecasting process. 

o    Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts and board slides

o    Adhoc project work as and when the business need arises

o    Adhoc tasks for the Financial Reporting Manager and the Group Finance team as they arise

The right candidate will be…

o    A 2:1 degree graduate or hold equivalent commercial experience

o    Passionate and committed

o    Keen to work in a young, growing fast paced tech company

o    Proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Excel – including advanced formulas and functionality

o    Able to understand basic accounting principles (debits / credits / accruals / prepayments etc)

o    Keen to gain an accounting qualification

o    Confident in both written and verbal communication. Able to build relationships and utilise them both within the wider Finance team and across the business

o    Well organised and able to manage/prioritise own workload and meet deadlines

o    Analytically minded, able to look into the detail but also think about the bigger picture

Able to work both independently and as part of a team
