Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a well-established and leading specialist financial services organisation based in central Cheltenham, Gloucestershire for a hands-on and experienced Assistant Finance Manager. This is a varied, permanent finance role reporting directly into the Group Finance Director and Managing Director of a successful family owned organisation.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve the production of month-end management reports including full reconciliations, managing weekly bank reconciliations, producing weekly/rolling quarterly cash forecasts, along with running monthly payrolls using Sage and assisting in the preparation of annual budgets. You will conduct monthly reconciliations under FCA regulations and review FCA related compliance tasks along with financial reporting for senior management.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this exciting permanent finance opportunity you will need experience within a similar position, ideally AAT qualified, candidates qualified by experience will be considered along with having knowledge of Sage 50 and Sage Payroll. You will need the ability to analyse and evaluate numerical data accurately and communicate financials to non-accounts members of the team. You must have a working knowledge of MS Excel and be able to multitask whilst working under pressure. Knowledge of Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) rules regarding client monies is desirable along with Sage payroll processing experience.
