Our finance team our currently looking for a Financial Accountant to provide accounting support to the Metal Controller and to ensure all financial reporting deadlines and associated requirements covering the general ledger sector of the Finance Team are met in conjunction with the Metal Accounting Team and Financial Controller. Key responsibilities Manage inter-group dealings (metal, toll and other recharges) liaising with other regions and departments to ensure all transactions are accurately processed Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for both General and Metal Ledger Involvement with Inter-Group and Metal Accounting processes and invoices between sites Assist in the daily purchasing of Metals Ensure that Precious Metal financial controls are adhered to Assist with preparation of month end reporting Ensure Precious Metal Customer accounts are reconciled Perform account maintenance and integrity checks throughout the month Assist with preparation of Budget and Monthly Forecast Preparation of regular Precious Metal reports to meet internal and customer deadlines Ensure Funding of metals is agreed and reconciled Monitor refining activities to ensure transaction are processed correctly Assist Metal team with ad hoc duties as required Are you the ideal candidate? AAT or Part - Qualified (e.g. ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Preferred. Previous work experience in a similar role within a commercial/manufacturing environment would be advantageous. Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of SAP, Business Objects would be an advantage Need to have the ability to identify weaknesses in a process and be able to implement process improvements, provide documented procedures and guidance note This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/85220566
