SF Group are supporting a successful business in Derby to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. You will work in a great office, easily commutable from Burton on Trent, Swadlincote and Derby. You will report into the Management Accountant and be confident assisting in the production of management account. As the successful Assistant Management Accountant your duties will include: To issue, order and balance foreign currency/petty cash To analyse costs against budget for various departs within the organisation To complete and send government information forms (National Statistics/EC Sales) To reconcile and review Purchase Ledger accounts Monthly analysis and update of tax pack To post bank payments and receipts Analysis of fixed assets (additions/disposals) To assist with inter-company reconciliations To assist with monthly/month end journals To assist with the preparation of monthly payments to suppliers To calculate the monthly instrastat To calculate quarterly VAT returns To analyse and update car lease schedules To assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts The successful Assistant Management Accountant will: Be Part Qualified within ACCA or CIMA Have between 2 and 3 years recent experience in an Assistant Accountant job Possess a high degree of professionalism and the ability to work closely with an established Finance Team Have Advanced Excel Skills including data manipulation with Pivot Tables, Charts and basic formulas as a minimum Be driven, ambitious, organised and methodical with a talent for problem solving This job will perfectly suit an Assistant Accountant who is very dynamic. You will be looking to promote your self to Assistant Management Accountant by securing this position through SF Group. You will be part way through your CIMA/ACCA studies and have received previous exposure to management accounts production.
