Job Details

Important role to play where you will be vital in the cash flow of the organisation. You will be responsible for administering the Invoicing function within the Organisation. Providing general accounting service to the Organisation and Support to the Finance Team as required.

The client is a leading supplier in the utilities sector. They really value their employees and are looking for a new employee to join the team due to progression of the current postholder.

Description

The main purpose of this role is to take full responsibilty of the accounts receivable function, your duties will include:

  • Managing an Accounts Assistant
  • Raising invoices & credits and issuing daily
  • Sending customer statements
  • Checking customer's credit ratings with banks and new customer set up
  • Reconciling unallocated credits
  • Resolving customer queries
  • Ensuring invoices are paid to terms
  • Prepare weekly debt reports and hold meetings with managers
  • Clearing Invoicesdaily
  • Coding payments and updating tracker
  • Set up draft sales ledgers each month end
  • Reconcile debtors control account and bad debt provision balance sheet rec

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong accounts receivable experience and credit control is a necessity for this role (large scale - multi-million pound ideally)
  • Excellent working knowledge/experience of Excel (V Lookup and Pivot Tables)
  • Strong Financial reporting Skills
  • Completion, reporting and analysis of management accounts and balance sheet recs
  • Cash flow management and profit and loss forecasting
