Description
The Financial Controller will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the Finance and Payroll Departments - including managing and developing junior members of the team
- Ensure a high quality and robust controls framework
- Challenging and contributing to business and commercial decisions
- Being an integral and collaborative member of the Senior Leadership Team
- Month-end reporting and Management Accounts
- Creating a high value Business Performance reporting to analyse variance whilst driving continuous process improvements
- Building and maintain key relationship with internal and external stakeholders
Profile
The successful Financial Controller should:
- Hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Strong technical and commercial experience
- Proven track record of leadership and management - including training and developing staff
- IT savvy with an ability to interrogate databases directly, extracting, manipulating and reporting information
- Well-rounded and commercially astute
- Ability to energise, organise and develop others
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced business and can promote growth and change
- Good communication skills, with the ability to interact with people of all levels
