This stable 12-24 month Purchase Ledger Officer role based in Luton is looking for someone comfortable across high value invoices and expenses processing. A role with great development opportunities in the high growth Transport and Rail sector for someone able to Master the invoice processing and expenses deadlines

Client Details

This leading Global Transport and Rail company have a very stable led project culture with long term contracts with all their major customers for which have their own finance support functions. This business provide autonomy but have strict deadlines and have a strong team work culture to ensure everyone pulls together to get the work done efficiently and effectively. Reporting into the Finance Manager who is very down to earth and wanting a reliable and focused individual


Purchase Ledger Officer duties and responsibilities

  • Processing high value and low volume weekly invoices
  • Managing multi currency payments
  • Posting expense claims to strict deadlines
  • Inputting invoices onto SAP
  • Ensure accurate postings
  • Managing invoice queries
  • VAT returns
  • Company credit card management


Purchase Ledger Officer experience and characteristics;

  • Invoicing and expenses exposure for a minimum of 2 years
  • Focused and reliable character
  • Excel capability
  • Attention to detail
  • A care for doing a good job


  • Experience processing high value multi currency invoices
  • Multicurrency exposure
  • The ability to post and manage expense claims
  • VAT experience
  • Some capability on SAP or similar large ERP systems
