Adele Carr Financial Recruitment is a specialist Accountancy Recruiter to the North West Market. SENIOR CREDIT CONTROLLER £26500 - £28000 My Client, a large corporate leader in its field based in Liverpool City Centre is looking to recruit on a Permanent basis a Senior Credit Controller to join a busy and demanding credit control team. You will work closely with the wider Finance department and teams from across the firm's three core divisions. You will be responsible for managing debt levels on your own set of accounts. You will also use your technical skills to improve systems and processes that will enable the entire teamwork more effectively and efficiently. This role will give you the opportunity to work with large national/international corporate clients and will present different challenges on a day-to-day basis. Key

responsibilities:
Take the lead in major projects which involve Credit Control and Finance Super User for the AR (Accounts Receivable) system Main point of contact for all technical problems. Regularly review the clients who are on hold and challenge where necessary Produce reports to monitor debt levels on a weekly/monthly basis Working with the team to implement a strategy to reduce debt greater than 6 months across all Business Groups Take the lead with query resolution Monitor problem debt with Credit Controller and escalate to senior management when applicable Staff Training Ensuring all new starters are trained to a high level, to enable them to carry out their day to day activities Roll out systems training to team members to help them work more efficiently Deputise for the Credit Manager as and when required To manage and maintain debt to an acceptable level within your own portfolio of work Participate in clearing aged debt to achieve Hill Dickinson DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) target Reduce overall debt greater than 12 months Arrange regular meetings with Partners and Fee Earners to discuss action to be taken on overdue debt Good overall knowledge of taking legal action, making business decisions on whether it is cost effective to sue the client Essential Candidate Requirements: Demonstrable proven experience in a credit control environment in previous role with excellent overall knowledge of credit control activities Good analytic and problem solving skills to help with query resolution and assist team Good negotiation skills Experience dealing with stakeholders at different levels Advanced IT skills across a broad range of applications including MS Excel Organised individual with good attention to detail Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines Ability to be assertive when handling difficult situations or people Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Ability to work as part of a team as well as use own initiative Desirable: Experience acting as a deputy team leader / manager Experience using ARCS system with the ability to write processed, produce reports and utilise system functionality For further information on this or any of our vacancies, please call the Liverpool office today for a confidential discussion or alternatively forward your CV and cover letter.
