We have an exciting new role within our vibrant Manchester city centre office for a Senior Finance Business Partner - Group and Central Functions. Reporting to the Director of FP&A the Senior Finance Business Partner - Group and Central Functions is principally responsible for business partnering the ExCom members who run the Group and Central functions (Finance, Risk, Legal, HR, Central) on the ongoing performance of the central functions and wider group against the cost budget. Responsibilities
• Reporting and presenting to ExCom members on the cost challenges across the group and outline the options and decisions to potentially make to ensure the cost budgets are met or exceeded.
• Being involved in cost saving initiatives and tracking these, as well as developing with the wider FP&A team rolling budget analysis for the Group and central support functions to control and understand direct costs
• Responsible for tracking of projects expenditure and performance against the agreed budgets.
• In the short-term help support the ExCom on any organisational design or TOM work.
• To work collaboratively and closely with the country teams to understand the local position for group and central functions on costs, and to provide challenge as appropriate. This requires the role holder to understand the components of budget in each of the group and support functions and each country, and identify opportunities for saving/challenge
• To enhance ongoing group wide risks and opportunities tracking as part of the development of cost reporting across the group and support functions
• Enhance Headcount analysis linking up with HR as appropriate drive the alignment of functional people costs across the group and countries. People are the group's biggest cost by far and improvements are required to ensure appropriate analysis and control can be achieved
• To work with the systems development team across a number of finance wide improvement projects to help ensure the data is available and reports can be developed
• Responsible for developing consistent cost reporting structures and analysis -by group function across the countries, by cost centre, by cost type (a matrix view) - with consistent policies across the group and central functions.
• The reporting analysis, budgeting and rolling forecasting of all group and support functions and working alongside cost centre leads to ensure costs are appropriately managed and challenged. This includes ensuring all the regular month end reporting is completed to time and to sufficient depth. This includes understanding the group wide bonus provision, the LTIP charge, legal fees and Exec remuneration.
• Line management responsibility for one direct report to provide support on the detailed analysis and reporting. This individual must be appropriately challenged, supported, coached and line managed.
• Being prepared to undertake ad hoc reporting, support on other finance related projects and provide other wider support to the finance team at key reporting periods. Essential Skills/Experience
• Educated to degree level
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Confident to work in a fast-paced commercial environment Preferred skills

• This role will face a variety of challenges - due to the fast-paced growth of the company, the listed status and the use of funding from the markets, there are pressures on the group's cost base and cost efficiency measures which impact directly on this role.
• The role holder will also need to be able to demonstrate an ability to continuous develop reporting and forecasting, building the right IT infrastructure to support it (with help from IT/change colleagues), to ensure they are able to appropriately support the functional ExCom members. Impact
