Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a commercial Business Partner for a very successful and instantly recognisable retail business based in Manchester. This is a truly value-add role that works closely with the executive management team. The business has outperformed their competitors over the past few years and will continue to do so by driving their strategic plan, delivering further improvements and changes that will make a real impact on the whole business. You will be tasked to provide insight, financial support and challenge to the Divisional Managing Director aiding them in making sound conclusions to drive continuous improvements, increase profitability and optimise performance. Collaboration will be the key focus for your day-to-day work. You will enjoy huge exposure at a senior level as you advise and direct the leadership team to influence the future performance and business decisions. The person The successful applicant will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified coming from a similar role and being able to demonstrate your operational and commercial finance ability on both revenue and margins to really drive commercial benefit and add value to the financials. Experience within the retail, FMCG, multisite, logistics or distribution sectors is desirable. You will have strong business partnering, stakeholder management and communication skills and in particular the ability to direct senior level individuals. Proven success in influencing strategic business decisions and driving significant improvements to business performance is essential. Focussed on delivering specific objectives, being proactive, dynamic and self-motivated with a desire to find and deliver improvements. In addition you will have the ability to work independently and together with other personnel both finance and non-finance. You will have a creative and innovative approach to problem solving and analysis; delivery orientated - able to work in pressurised environments, meet multiple deadlines and manage own priorities. You will also be able to demonstrate business acumen and ability to gain knowledge across the breadth of a variety of functions. You will also be able to take a 'big picture' view with demonstrable internal consultancy and influencing skills, while possessing a keen eye for the detail.
