Purchase Ledger Assistant (temporary to permanent role) Rougham £9.20 - £10.10 per hour This company, a market leader in their field, are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. Reporting into the Accountant, you will be responsible for: Inputting, matching and coding invoices to ledger Obtaining authorisation of invoices Requesting purchase credit notes and dealing with queries Reviewing bank accounts for payments not entered, posting as necessary and reconciling bank daily Communicating with suppliers regarding expected payments Preparing forecasts of, and actual payment runs, for suppliers and obtaining authorisation Checking supplier statements to purchase ledger and chasing any missing invoices Obtaining staff expenses and credit card details, checking, approving and posting Setting up new supplier accounts Preparing month end reports for Purchase Ledger ready for period closing Production of payroll Intrastat Arrivals Accruals and prepayments Covering certain roles in times of holiday and sickness To be successful in your application you will have previous Purchase Ledger experience and be immediately available for work and happy to work on a temporary to permanent basis. You will need strong Excel skills. You will be pro-active, with excellent communication skills and a team player. Hours of work will be 9.00 am to 5.30 pm. This role is suitable for candidates who have worked within Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, Bought Ledger or as Accounts Assistants or Bookkeepers.
