Finance Analysts in Aldermore's Financial Control team set the benchmarks for cost control and provide the final checks and balances for all internal control systems and processes ensuring effectiveness and efficiency across the bank. The Role This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Finance Analyst to join this progressive organisation based in Reading. Working within Business Finance you will act as a key MI producer for the Asset Finance division supporting both the Financial Controller and Business Partner as well as the Commercial and Operations areas by providing high quality financial analysis and insight Key Accountabilities include
• Reporting and submitting month end results for Asset Finance into Finance Central models ensuring consistency across all reporting.
• Processing the monthly EIR calculation and reviewing assumptions on a periodic basis to support Financial Reporting.
• Supporting the Business Partners in producing month end packs for the entire Business Finance division, working with Financial Control to set expectations and timelines on actuals.
• Supporting the Asset Finance Business Partner on Asset Finance commercial activity and understanding the impact on the divisions P&L and Balance Sheet
• Working with the senior leadership team across the Asset Finance business to provide financial information, support on performance analysis including but not limited to budgetary management, forecasting, financial reporting, treasury management, capital utilisation and management reporting.
• To provide the central planning and capital teams with the information necessary to enable monthly financial reporting and forecasting. This will include explanation of significant variance movements for inclusion in the monthly business performance.
• Maintain appropriate controls to ensure financial outputs are robust and consistent with other information within the Bank
• Maintain relevant KPI's and performance management metrics and aligned with Group Finance
• Adhere to and comply with all company policies, procedures and regulations Experience required
• ACCA, CIMA or ACA part qualified studier
• Excellent interpersonal skills as you will be liaising with internal stakeholders at all levels
• Evidence of strong financial analytical skills
• Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills, with experience of managing large and varying datasets to provide consistent outputs.
• Experience of process improvement, with a willingness to challenge existing processes
• Confident and proactive and self-starter comfortable working independently and within teams.
