Finance Business Partner Bedfordshire £45,000-£50,000 A competitive salary, 28 days annual holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing with service, contributory pension, free life assurance, free private medical cover, reduced gym membership and canteen. Due to the growth of the organisation, there is a requirement for a Finance Business Partner. The role will act as a crucial link between the finance team and other parts of the business, and will help to drive improvements in overall financial understanding and viability across the group. Liaising with both financial and non-financial employees within the business, you will ensure the presentation, analysis and interpretation of complex data and information. You will provide reporting and financial monitoring, forecasting both future opportunities and/or risks for the business. With this in mind, the ability to think conceptually and creativity is essential. The successful candidate will have significant experience in a finance or management accountant role and will be able to produce complex reports and convey key financial information. You must have a high level of personal integrity and the ability to build professional relationships at all levels. The role of Finance Business Partner Includes: Providing the effective interpretation of financial and non-financial performance information for business unit managers accurately and on time. Working flexibly in order to provide cover for the FBP and wider finance team as required. Monitoring performance against budget or other parameters, analyse and report on trends and variances, and work to with colleagues to help drive improvement in overall financial viability. Preparing the budget and regular forecasts to enable managers to monitor financial performance. Ensuring the result for the year does not indicate any material problems with the budget preparation. Updating forecasts to inform senior management and final reported result is not materially different to the forecast. Maintain a detailed knowledge of the work of allocated area of responsibility and use this knowledge to support, prompt and help bring about overall service improvements. Providing the best possible customer focused service to business units and support functions. Ensuring that value for money activity is captured from across the organisation and reported on monthly.
