Brook Street is currently recruiting for our clients who are a well-respected and reputable accountancy firm based in Belfast city centre to recruit an experienced Accountant or Part Qualified Accountant to join their established team. The position is full time and permanent, the role requires previous relevant experience in a similar position along with the ability to manage a varied workload and set timescales/deadlines. The client is happy to consider applicants with various levels of accountancy qualifications such as ACCA , IATI, but all applicants must have experience of working in an accountancy practice. Duties will involve: Responsible for the full financial reporting: Preparation of budgets/forecasts over a monthly, quarterly and annual basis Month end close Analysis of monthly variances against budget and forecasts Preparation and submission of statutory returns The candidate hired should be able to prepare sole trader, partnership or small limited company accounts which can be then be passed to a partner without needing to be reviewed by a senior member of staff.
