Interim Lead Finance Business Partner £350 a day

Our client, an established non profit organisation based in Reading, are recruiting for an Interim Lead Finance Business Partner.

This role involves working closely with the Head of Finance and Finance Business Partners to further promote and develop the business partner role.

You'll act as an internal consultant to Finance and the wider organisation to ensure that the value of the Business Partner model is clearly brought into and understood.

You will be responsible for carrying out a SWOT across the team and deliver development plans that will enable a successful and true partnership model to be embedded between Finance and the wider organisation.

You will coach the current team to develop true partnering capability that will cover both technical and behavioural capabilities. Examples of this will include competitor analysis, sector insights, benchmarking, decision making techniques, thinking strategically, change management, influencing, personal impact, presentation skills to name a few.

You will work with your partner directorate to ensure that the right programme and project appraisal methodologies are fully understood and appropriately applied to ensure robust decision making. You will help to review, simplify and improve the finance processes. Continuous improvement and optimal performance will be behind everything that you do.

You will be able to maintain personal effectiveness by managing own emotions in the fact of pressure, setbacks or when dealing with provocative situations. You'll be an integrated member of the finance leadership team being the point of expertise on business partnering offering advice, support and insight.

But more than that you'll challenge where necessary, suggesting new and better ways of working in line with the long-term nature of our core purpose. You will be seen as senior member of the Finance team acting as role model and mentor to junior or less experienced members of the team.
