The Energy & Infrastructure Advisory team are market leaders in providing specialist financial advisory services to investors in, and developers of, renewable energy and infrastructure projects across a range of technologies. This includes Solar PV, Onshore and Offshore Wind, Bioenergy, Energy Storage & Trading, Reserve Power and Electric Vehicles in both the UK and overseas markets.

Description

The team's expertise includes:

  • M&A: Disposal and acquisition of energy and infrastructure assets and related businesses;
  • Equity capital raising for seed, development risk and construction capital;
  • Debt capital raising for senior, mezzanine and Hold Co debt;
  • Valuations and project appraisals including financial modelling, due diligence and delivering valuation advice to underpin third party transactions;
  • Strategic consulting covering commercial, financial, strategic advice and expert witness roles plus transaction support including financing structuring and market entry advice.
  • Role responsibilities include:

  • Supporting both Directors and Managers within the team in advising clients on a variety of mandates for leading energy and infrastructure projects;
  • Developing in-house financial models and undertaking valuation assignments;
  • Conducting in-depth research on certain focal areas for the business, such as future growth markets, upcoming technologies and forthcoming policy developments;
  • Producing key client deliverables, pitch materials and completing the underlying analysis to inform these documents;
  • Accompanying team members to client or investor meetings and assisting with business development opportunities;
  • Developing thought leadership materials, producing sector insights and researching new projects, geographies or businesses;
  • Supporting the growth and development of the E&IA team through taking responsibility for a variety of internal tasks.
  • Profile

    We will be looking for candidates who possess:

  • A positive, driven attitude with a desire to improve and the ability to learn on the job;
  • A clear appetite to pursue a long-term career within Financial Services covering energy and infrastructure;
  • Robust analytical skills and the ability to proactively overcome qualitative and quantitative challenges confidently;
  • A 2.1 Honours Degree in an academically rigorous field (Ideally Finance or Energy related);
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to work well with others in a team environment;
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and analysing financial/excel models;
  • Experience of producing high quality documents using the full suite of Microsoft Office applications;

    Knowledge of global energy markets and/or corporate finance would be advantageous. Training and support can be provided for successful candidates who wish to participate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.

    This role will pay a highly competitive basic salary for a graduate role of £25-27k, plus excellent benefits and scope for progression.
