Your new role
You will work within a small finance team of two, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. You will take responsibility for the Accounts Receivable, raising circa 140-160 invoices per month and managing the Credit Control function to ensure that customers pay on time. You will also take responsibility for the Accounts Payable, recording and processing all invoices on the Sage system. Additional responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) bank reconciliations (three multi currency accounts), VAT returns and as it is a small business you should also be happy to get involved in additional ad-hoc duties.
What you'll need to succeed
Due to the structure of the small finance team, this is not a progressive role. However, it will give you the opportunity to keep busy and get involved in varied duties each day. You will need to be an experienced Accounts Assistant with evidence of previous job stability, with loyalty to remain with the company for a number of years to come. The role will suit an 'all rounder' with an assertive nature, who is able to deal with sales teams and who has significant experience working in a similar role. Sage system experience is essential, as are strong communication skills.
