Are you looking for an opportunity to really make a difference? We're recruiting for a Finance Manager to join the friendly Scouts Scotland staff team. Position : Finance Manager Location : Dunfermline Contract : Part time and permanent Hours : 22 hours per week Salary : £35,000 per annum, pro-rata You will be a professionally qualified accountant with a knowledge of charity accounting, analysis against budgets, technical & analytical skills, working at a strategic level and you will have experience of managing and motivating staff. The Role This role will be responsible for ensuring that all financial and reporting and forecasting is carried out to professional standards and in accordance with OSCR Charity and statutory regulations for finance. You will provide advice and guidance to budget holders and work with senior managers to provide accurate information to aid effective decision making. You will provide day to day management, support and professional guidance and development to finance team employees. About you You will have experience and a positive a track record in financial accounting with third sector charity experience being highly desirable. You will be CCAB qualified or qualified by experience. You will have experience of Sage, management accounts preparation, year-end accounts preparation, budgeting, VAT & Tax returns and knowledge of accountancy processes, statutory requirements and charity regulation in Scotland. Employee Benefits The salary for this role is £35,000, pro-rata, for 22 hours per week along with a contributory pension scheme Based in our Headquarters which are just outside of Dunfermline. Holidays - 22 days per annum, rising by 1 day per year of service to a maximum of 27 days, plus statutory holidays (or equivalent) pro rata.
