Job Details

The FP&A Manager will lead the Commercial Finance function, influencing and supporting business decisions by providing timely, accurate and relevant management information. As FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for adding value and challenge commercial decisions to support the success of the business.

Description

  • Identify, challenge and proactively satisfy internal customer requirements via best in class Business Partnering. Optimise customer account financial performance by providing support and challenge.
  • Maintain external customer reporting, where applicable, to include open book costing, commodity tracking etc.
  • Commercial cost incentives - tracking and verification
  • Product Costing
  • Preparation of defined weekly and monthly commercial commentaries, providing valuable insight into the customers commercial performance.
  • Approval of monthly customer terms reconciliation/ verification of charges received.
  • Lead the process for robust customer financial forecasting (quarterly forecasting and annual budget preparation), including communication within the Commercial Team and site Senior Leadership team.
  • Ensure commercial finance reporting (weekly flash, weekly SIM, monthly Exec reporting, account plan detail reports) are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Sign off and authorisation of costings and promotions, to ensure alignment with agreed Hurdle Rates.
  • Ensure master data is aligned between commercial and operational finance, acting as guardian of all standard customer contributions calculations.
  • To provide ad hoc activities as required to support the Senior Commercial Lead and the site Functional head of Finance.

Profile

The successful Financial Planning & Analysis Manager should have:

  • Professional Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with post qualified experience
  • A successful track record of doing a commercial role within a FMCG/Retail business
  • Ability to lead, influence and coach direct reports
  • Stakeholder management and influencing
  • Experience of Commercial Business Partnering and the ability to support Commercial decision making
  • IT skills including advanced Excel
  • Be hard working and motivated
