Finance Manager, Permanent, Wetherby, £40,000

Your new company

You will be working for an IT specialist based in Wetherby, a vacancy has arisen for a Finance Manager to work in their head office.

Your new role

You will be responsible for the completion, review and reconciliation of all month end processes, accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, sales and purchase ledger. Maintaining fixed asset register, including additions, disposals and running depreciation. Review of monthly P&L and all inputs. Management of supplier accounts including payments, statement reconciliations, credit control including setting limits and chasing overdue payments. Processing employee expenses and payroll including HMRC submissions, maintaining P11Ds, personnel and holiday records. Quarterly VAT return and annual Corporation tax return to HMRC. There may also be adhoc project work including testing of new system implementation or design of system to reconcile recurring income to sales system.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a CIMA/ICAEW qualified accountant with experience of ownership of the complete accounting function ideally with proven track record of making process improvements. Advanced Excel skills and experience of using Sage or similar accounting package. Must possess excellent communication skills and comfortable dealing with all levels and seniority of staff and external clients and customers with an approachable and "can do" attitude to change.
