Application process

Summary of Role
Here at Raytheon UK it’s not just our technology that pushes boundaries, our finance team is always going above and beyond to deliver a quality service to the business and deliver excellence through strong financial leadership.
Our Finance Graduate Leadership Develop Programme provides the opportunity to experience a series of placements across the spectrum of finance disciplines: accounting, pricing, financial planning and analysis, strategy, operations and programme finance.
Working in our finance team is not just about producing numbers, it’s about understanding what drives them and making complex financial issues easy to understand.
To aid this, we’ll support you through your CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) professional qualification, providing the foundation for a rewarding, and varied career path that can take you as far as you want to go.
During the two year programme you will learn a host of technical and soft skills that will establish you as a future leader through a mix of taught courses, leadership development events and working in a team of like-minded professionals.
In addition, your training will utilise psychometric models to help you communicate more effectively, understand yourself and others and become a more effective member and leader of teams.
The Experience
You could find yourself pricing a new bid for the latest Raytheon technology, helping a Programme Manager at our state of the art Cyber Security centre better understand their finances or helping a Business Director control the finances of their department. There is a strong Graduate presence in the finance function with a regular Forum for our Graduates, Apprentices and Trainees to share experiences, ideas, study tips and learn more about the business and industry.
The support network doesn’t end there, there are also regular one to one meetings with your Manager and the option of being mentored by other senior members of the team to help you make the most of the opportunities on offer. There are also six monthly reviews with the incentive of pay reviews, so it is a holistically rewarding programme.
Don’t just take our word for it though, here is what some of our recent Graduates had to say:

The combination of the fast paced & interesting rotations and a strong network of helpful individuals amongst the Finance Community creates an excellent environment for graduates to develop integral business skills and understanding; whilst also providing the support necessary to  pursue the CIMA qualification” – Sam, 2016 Graduate
“The Raytheon graduate scheme has offered me early responsibility within the finance function, regular training to enhance my skills and my ability to contribute to the team, as well as support toward my CIMA qualification. The frequent graduate events have encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, challenging me to focus on my soft skills in an environment completely outside of the workplace. It finds the perfect balance of career development and personal growth.” –  Adam, 2017 Graduate
“My first year at Raytheon UK has been an invaluable experience while starting my career. The amount of time and money invested in you to further your technical skills, soft skills and gain a professional qualification has shown me that you are more than just a number here. Gaining responsibility at such an early stage gives you a level of ownership which helps you to develop yourself at a rate which would not be possible in previous jobs I have had.”- Douglas, 2017 Graduate
