Are you looking for a 12-18 month contract? This role is to replace an Assistant Management Accountant on a large contract/client moving to external role. Due to the high volume of work that falls under this role it would not be able to be merged with another role in the current team. In addition the role ensures the smooth operation of a customer critical element of the contract and therefore is key. To compile weekly and monthly management account in timely manner Provide information to budget holder to support with cost analysis (i.e. HR Strategy & Organization)
• Responsible for the completion of monthly OBR & BSR
• Responsible for the preparation of Weekly Quick's and management accounts in a timely and accurate manner
• Responsible for all month end activities including accruals/prepayments, ensuring accounts are accurate and completed in an ethical integral manner
• Responsible for all variance analysis to customer budget to accurately identify drivers of overspends and provide commentary for greater understanding
• Responsible for producing the customer monthly review pack - ensuring accuracy
• Driving performance of the contract through implementation of process improvement initiatives
• Support the finance assistants in ensuring that all purchasing activities completed on site are in line with OCM requirements
• Ensure all customer invoices are raised in timely manner maximising cash flow
• Ensure that all billing process are followed to enable no outstanding debt on site
• Ensure that all customer reporting requirements are meet in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage an assistant in raising purchase orders.
• Assist finance manager with the month end process
• Continually improve and identify opportunities which add value to the business for both the customer, business unit and division, manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to meet contractual terms and the company's expectations Completing month end, journal posting variance analysis of management accounting methods and their impact on accounts. Cost centre cost accoutability, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis for labour and overheads for centre.
• Ad hoc activities as required Must have excellent communication skills at all levels. Must be IT literate, high level of excel skills, analytical approach to problem solving.
