Permanent Accounts Payable Assistant based in Dunfermline, Salary £20,000 - £23,000 + 31 days annual leave

Hays Accountancy and Finance are recruiting on behalf of their exclusive client based in the Dunfermline area for a permanent Accounts Payable Assistant to join their busy team. Salary is £20,000 - £23,000 depending on experience + 31 days annual leave and pension and the potential for career progression for the right individual.

Your new role

You will be responsible for processing purchase ledger invoices in a high volume and fast paced environment. You will also be responsible for processing BACS payments, credit card payments and staff expenses. You will create supplier statements and liaise with suppliers, requiring strong communication skills and initiative to pick up the phone and do so. You will liaise with colleagues internally across other departments and will be comfortable speaking with colleagues of all levels of seniority. You will have month end duties including posting journals and bank reconciliations along with general data entry and upkeep of the systems.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant with experience in a high volume environment. You will be an enthusiastic and driven team player with excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills.
