Temporary to Permanent Purchase Ledger clerk required for Stratford-Upon-Avon. Ongoing temporary role with potential permanent opportunity.

Your new company

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an exciting and innovative supplier to the catering and hospitality industry. Due to a recent acquisition, the organisation are relocating their finance function and are looking initially for someone on a temporary basis for an immediate start. There will be the possibility of a permanent position for a suitable applicant.


Your new role

The successful candidate will join an established organisation and you will be responsible for maintaining the good supplier and internal relationships they have created. You will report into the Finance Manager on a daily basis.
The main responsibilities of this full-time purchase ledger clerk role will see you manage portfolios of suppliers' accounts; perform supplier statement reconciliations monthly; raising payments for suppliers ensuring accuracy; and ensuring all invoices are authorised.


What you'll need to succeed


A successful candidate will have a minimum of one/two years' experience in a purchase ledger role with both good verbal and written (email) communication skills. You must demonstrate evidence of handling suppliers whilst maintaining strong relationships, attention to detail and numerical accuracy. It is a must that you have a proactive attitude and be motivated by working to deadlines. Previous experience using Sage or similar is advantageous but good Excel skills are required. It is also important that applicants are on a notice of no longer than one week or be immediately available.


What you'll get in return

A generous hourly rate of between £11 and £13 including holiday pay (dependent on experience). The working day is Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm with 1 hour lunch.
