Hays Accountancy and Finance are proud to be working on an exclusive basis with this modern, polished company, based in Coventry, to recruit a hard-working and conscientious Accounts Clerk to join their successful finance team.
Your new role
You will be responsible for:
- To ensure that the Purchase and Sales Ledger is accurately maintained.
- Making payments following client authorisation.
- Matching invoices to delivery notes/purchase orders.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of bank reconciliations and cashbooks.
- Ad-hoc finance administration and projects.
- Administration support for the finance team.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable / Payable Clerk (at least 2 years), familiarity with basic accounting procedures, including competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software. You will thrive in a busy office and be an integral part of the finance team. This a progressive role for the right person. If you are career driven and ambitious, we want to hear from you.
What you'll get in return
As well as a salary of £20,000 - £22,000, you will receive flexible working, pension, life assurance, 25 days holiday (full time equivalent), free on site parking and outstanding on site facilities in new offices. Full-time standard hours are 37, but if you are looking for a part-time role, 30 hours per week will be considered. The ideal days to work will be Monday to Thursday and will be flexible on a week by week basis.
