A growing start-up that specialises in the production of snack foods is looking for a new member to join their finance team. The business has experienced significant growth in a short amount of time and made it's first million within a few years of operation. The product can now be bought in every major supermarkets across the UK. The company is anticipating continuous growth and as such this is a very exciting time to be part of the journey.

Your new role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director of the business, who is CIMA qualified, you will be responsible for ensuring the finance function runs smoothly from start to finish. You will be working on a sole-charge basis, but with ongoing support from the MD, and be responsible for transactional processing all the way up to management accounts prep. The MD is looking for someone who is hungry to learn and develop their skill set further and he is looking to train and teach the right candidate all they need to know to have a successful career in finance. He is looking for a strong number 2 that will not only provide financial information, but also analyse the business operations to offer strategic input. The MD is looking for someone who has the ambition to apply themselves in this role, learn within a growing business and then move on as a Finance Director in 3-5 years time, if that is their wish.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience working in a hands on role whereby you have taken on transactional duties as well as management accounts preparation. You will be commercially minded and keen to apply yourself in a challenging space where you will learn a great deal. Ideally you will have used Xero before, although this is not essential and you will be studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
