Company profile

We’re one of the most competitive and successful consumer goods companies in the world. From foods to home and personal care, we make some of the best-loved brands in the world - boasting names like Persil, Marmite, Pot Noodle and Ben and Jerry’s, to name just a few.  Every day 150 million of our products are purchased in 150 different countries.

Success on this scale isn’t just about putting great products on the shelf. It’s fuelled by our people. Talented, enthusiastic individuals working together to make amazing things happen. Because we want to do more than win in our markets. We want to grow. And to do so in a way that benefits everyone: our colleagues, our suppliers, our customers, and the world around us. That’s far from rhetoric. It’s already an intrinsic part of how we do things. In fact, it’s who we are.

Leaders with a difference

As a graduate on our Future Leaders Programme, you’ll be part of a new generation of thinkers who will help us meet the challenges of operating in a marketplace where nothing stays the same for very long. It’s exciting. It’s challenging. It’s competitive. And your work with us will see you become a manager within two years.

What will I do on the Finance Unilever Future Leaders Programme?

40 million spray-on deodorants sold in a year. 35 million cups of PG Tips drunk every day. 60 million Magnums savoured every twelve months. We boast some impressive figures, but Finance at Unilever is about much more than numbers. It’s a craft that requires you to get to the heart of multi-billion pounds brands. It’s a discipline that influences the development of our products. It’s the lifeblood that fuels the growth of our business. You’ll be a trusted advisor who analyses and acts to help us meet the challenges of tomorrow (like doubling in size whilst reducing our environmental impact). People will seek your advice on brand development, pricing strategy and more. You’ll be involved in evaluating the benefits of innovation on major brands like Dove and Pot Noodle, and be in the thick of pricing strategy and investment decisions that help us to win in our markets.

Our finance Future Leaders are fully supported in studying for their Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification. Over two years and up to three placements, you’ll get up-to-speed on operations, processes and risks. You’ll get the chance to work in cross-functional teams with other business areas, including Marketing, Supply Chain and Customer Development. With that wealth of experience, and involvement in financial accounting, management reporting and analysis, you’ll gain a thorough understanding of our entire business. That’s the kind of knowledge and expertise that will form a springboard for your future. To find out more and apply, visit
