The Office for Students (OfS) was established by the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 (HERA) and is the new independent regulator for higher education in England. We have responsibility for ensuring that higher education is delivering positive outcomes for past, present and future students and that all students, whatever their background, have a fulfilling experience of higher education that enriches their lives and careers.
