Group Financial Controller | £70-80K | Central London This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong Financial Controller to join leading global marketing and advertising agency. With over 30 years' history, this company is a global success story and is driving the market forward in its sector. Leading a small team and reporting directly to a Finance Director, the successful applicant will be an imperative part of the team, involved in budgeting, reporting and helping to influence the wider strategic direction for the business. Working alongside a partner Group FC and leading a small team, your key responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring that all financial reporting requirements are complete and in-line with company deadlines
• Being the lead controller for internal and external audit, ensuring best practice guidelines are in place for compliance
• Responsibility for statutory reporting requirements and submissions
• Seeking continuous areas for improvement in the control environment
• Working with budget holders to control and regulate group costs
• Calculating recharges and communicating results with the wider business
• Making recommendations to the senior finance team regarding cost savings and/or changes in business practice to improve the overall financial performance
• Growing and leading a team, responsible for development and performance Ideal candidate:
• Qualified accountant (ACA preferred from top 20 practice)
• Relevant post practice experience in a Group role
• Strong technical background
• Experience in a media and/or marketing agency either directly or an interest in marketing or advertising would be preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment
