A leading global Insurance group are currently recruiting for a Risk Analyst The role is based in Guildford and you will be reporting to the UK/EU Head of Risk located in the UK. The position will also work with other members of the risk team globally with respect to group wide initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Assist with coordinating the processes to track and monitor identified risks against agreed appetite. Assist with preparation of subsidiary reports on the risk profile, risk metrics, key risks, emerging risks and internal control environment for the relevant governing body and including the preparation of ORSA reports. Assist with ensuring compliance with risk management regulatory requirements and Solvency II requirements - including the key area of Own Risk and Solvency Assessment. Technical Knowledge Requirement: Foundational understanding of risk management / ERM within the Insurance Industry An understanding of issues affecting the legacy insurance market and managing legacy business would be advantageous Awareness of risk management regulatory requirements in EU/Solvency II jurisdictions and of risk management related legislation/policies/procedures/key standards of compliance and governance Broad understanding of any technology / systems specific to the role Personal Requirements: BA/BS degree, graduate degree preferred but not required Ability to challenge and be challenged Ability to work with colleagues at all levels of business Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills Excellent quantitative and analytical skills Strong organisational skills, comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines
