Financial Controller / Manager - Construction & Development Company: Formed in 2018 this Construction Company has already secured a lucrative project in North London and started on site in May 2018, the Directors are pushing for the expansion in the Hotel Construction sector and are currently in final stages of tendering for other opportunities and double turnover in 2019. They are in advanced discussions to partner with one of the world's largest Hotel Chains for site acquisitions and construction opportunities in and around the home counties and North London.

Location:
Head office in St Albans, Hertfordshire, occasional site office visits for commercial meetings. Role: This is a new position and you will be reporting to the Commercial Director. You will be key in implementing and driving forward the financial needs and operations of this SME group of companies whilst it continues to expand in the construction and development sector. Key Responsibilities :
• Day to Day management of the all the accounts within the Group including: construction (principle contractor, SPV & management company). You will report to the Commercial Director.
• Daily Cash Flow Management of the Group and sub-contractor application or payments prior to Director Authorization
• Preparing monthly financial / management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheets, Budget Monitoring and Cashflow and presenting in monthly board meetings
• Prepare short term, annual and future forecasts and budgets
• Assist in preparation of long-term business plans, analysing and modelling of new opportunities to the group.
• Prepare and submit:
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Monthly payroll
• Pension scheme
• CIS returns
• Annual Account Returns
• Xero
• Liaison with banks and funders, developers, monitoring surveyors, HMRC when required
• Assist with acquisitions and disposal Remuneration £50k-£65k per annum The group is prepared to offer upwards opportunities in the future which are hard to come with our long term established competitors. Attributes Required:
• Experience: You will be a Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), with a can-do approach and at least 2 years post qualification experience in an accounting role of a construction or development-based company and preferably with SME experience.
• Commitment - We are looking for an individual who is excited about growing with a young SME which is expanding in the construction industry and someone who is able to build the department
• Energy - In order to achieve the Groups goals plenty of energy will be required by the successful candidate.
