Financial Controller (Hotel) Kingston Upon Thames Permanent Position £45,000 PA Company Benefits Must have experience within a hotel environment A key member of the Hotel's senior management team reporting directly to the GM and Directors/Owners. The Hotel Financial Accountant will oversee all financial reporting including the hotels P&L account, month end reporting, payroll, weekly/monthly forecasting/budgeting, supplier payments, aged debt, credit control, preparation of quarterly VAT returns & the control of all financial processes within the operation. This is a self-accounting property. There is also the need to get involved in procurement and contract negotiation, guest interaction, as well as having a responsibility for Human Recourses functions like payroll, holiday and sickness management, personal files, and immigration. Requirement to conduct financial reviews with the Directors/Owners on a monthly basis. The Essential Skills:
• Must possess a proven track record of leading a small business as part of the senior management team within a self-accounting hotel environment
• Must possess a financial qualification such as AAT, CIMA, HOSPA (formally BAHA) or higher
• Have proven cash flow management skills and reconciliation of revenue skills
• Be able to produce annual audit files for external auditors
• To be involved in transactional processes like invoice management, purchase order controls
• Possess outstanding Excel skills & have good knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll
• Must be an excellent problem solver & possess the ability to 'think on their feet' & to remain calm & effective in all situations
• Possess good organisational qualities, must be able to prioritise
• Be resilient and have a reputation for getting things done & able to adapt
• Excellent communications skills
• Preparation of board meeting packs and conduct analysis presentations
