Grafton Banks Finance is currently recruiting for a divisional Financial Controller, (well suited to someone who is qualified by experience), for a small SME subsidiary of a large £100m turnover group. The role has responsibility for the overall financial deliverables for the Division. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller and supporting the Managing Director regarding all financial and accounting activities. Overseeing the finance department staff on day-to-day operations and business partnering operational heads of the business to drive the business forward. Principle duties and responsibilities Responsible for the overall smooth running of the finance department for the division. Business Partner to the Managing Director and Operational/Commercial teams. Ownership of the month end process, including posting of journals in Sage 50, (accruals, prepayments, payroll etc.) and the preparation of Management Accounts. Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations for the two legal entities. Month end and KPI reporting to Group and management. Updating of the fee schedule and reconciliation of monthly revenue. Prepare annual recommendations for fee increases. Preparation of the annual budget aligned with the business along with periodic forecasts. Support management with reporting, data preparation and performance/trend analysis, to aid decision making. Supporting the Group Transaction Finance Manager with the day to day banking including bank reconciliations and supporting group with cashflow forecasting. Management of the Fixed Asset Register. Ensure all regulatory requirements are meet e.g. HMRC submissions, Intra Stats etc. Review and payment of the monthly payroll, PAYE, pension, holiday pay, Apprenticeship Levy and bonus calculations. Annually prepare P60's, PSA calculations and other HMRC requirements. Coordinate the Audit Manage and run the Finance department, though a change process. Maintain all financial systems, including Sage and Open Pay. Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and procedures. This position would suit someone who has used Sage and has varied experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager.
