Your new company

A dynamic and growing business in Lancaster is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team working alongside the Finance Director to administer all aspects of the finance and management accounting function

Your new role

Your new role involves the production of timely and reliable management accounts, this will include commentary, KPI's and supporting reconciliation and validation on a monthly basis. You will have the confidence, knowledge and ability to discuss the management accounts and make consultations and come up with a thorough action plan as required. The role will also involve variance analysis, managing the company credit control, budgeting and forecasting, overseeing payments and preparation of VAT returns.

This role will also include people management of one other within the finance team and perhaps more in the future as the team grows and further support is required.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have management accounts preparation experience, including consolidations and detailed variance analysis. You will ideally be a Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant with a commercial outlook, however my client is open to candidates Qualified by Experience, providing you have a proven track record in a busy finance role. You should have very good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel. The business currently use SAGE and so experience of this system would an advantage. You will be a team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and a can do attitude.
