Assistant Finance Manager - Health Care - Growing SME -£28,000-£35,000 per annum -Stroud,Gloucestershire

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading health care business that are experiencing rapid growth of over 70 % annually, looking to recruit for a dynamic, driven and experienced Assistant Finance Manager. Based in Stroud, Gloucestershire this varied accounting role reports directly to the Financial Director in a newly created position. The position will give you a broad role and the opportunity to manage a team in the future as business grows further.
Your new role
Your key duties will involve management account preparation, monthly prepayments and accruals, managing fixed asset and depreciations along with assisting in budget and forecasts preparation. You will generate and update financial reports, KPI information along with processing monthly journals, EC sales reports and VAT calculations. You will process UK and foreign payments, bank reconciliations and petty cash along with managing all elements of purchase ledger, credit control, staff expenses and calculating commissions. You will assist in month-end and year-end processes, supporting the Financial Director in process and system streamline and improvements along with ad-hoc projects. The position will develop in the future as the business grows further and be tailored around the right candidate.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this varied and progressive Assistant Finance Manager role you must have experience within a similar position with a dynamic and driven working approach. Ideally you will be AAT qualified working towards your CIMA/ACCA, candidates qualified by experience will be considered. You will have strong communication skills to build internal and external relationships, be able to manage your own work-loads along with having a good level of MS Excel skills for reporting uses. It would be advantageous if you have worked within the SME sector in a rapidly growing business.
