Financial Controller (FD Designate)

Hands on FC role within growing SME

Your new company
A growing SME with ambitious plans for 2019 and beyond seek to appoint a like-minded Controller to run the day to day finance function whilst contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation. The role is earmarked to step up to FD in time an act as a trusted adviser to the board and wider leadership team.

Your new role
You will have oversight for a broad remit which encompasses all elements of statutory and management reporting alongside the day to day leadership of a local finance team. You will prepare annual budgets, lead the audit process and contribute to the overall company strategy from a financial standpoint. You will manage the local team, recruit new staff members and ensure the finance function runs smoothly on a day to day and month to month basis.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with a preference for candidates who started out in professional practice. YOu will bring an affinity towards SME's and relish the chance to work within a fast paced environment. Furthermore you will demonstrate a strong leadership style, an analytical approach and the ability to influence senior stakeholders at board level.
