This established and growing FMCG who prides themselves in manufacturing their products to the highest quality and technical standards. They have a number of sites across the UK with this position being based at their Corby location


Your new role
This new opportunity has arisen for someone to maintain and further develop the company management reporting function within the business by providing financial support and reporting to sales, production and overall management teams. Responsibilities will include:

  • Produce, analyse and interpret weekly management information for sales, production and overall management teams.
  • Recommend improvements and develop factory reporting to help management understanding of key issues and improve production performance.
  • Produce accurate product costings as and when requested by authorised personnel.
  • Provide financial support to factory projects as required, e.g. payback calculations on capital investment proposals.
  • Produce annual sales and operational budget.
  • Produce various ad-hoc reporting (i.e. quarterly margin analysis).
  • Manage standard costing system including regular review and update as required.
  • To assist in management of ERP system to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Where able, provide IT support to PC users (ahead of external support provider).
  • Carry out any other duties from time to time as may be reasonably requested by senior management.


What you'll need to succeed
The most suitable applicant will be a fully CCAB qualified accountant with good costing and management accounting skills. They will have a experience and a genuine interest for working in a manufacturing organisation and want to engage with the business, getting out into the factory and building relationships with the operational stakeholders. Main qualities required include:

  • Strong knowledge of Excel / ideally IT and ERP literate.
  • Experience of business and financial analysis.
  • Self-motivated / able to exercise authority.
  • A positive and proactive approach.
  • Task and process focused.
  • A team player and good influencer.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff across the company.
  • Ability to present complex information in a structured, logical manner.
  • Demonstrable creativity in problem solving.
  • Constantly looking for efficiencies and ways to implement improvement.
