The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is the largest Faculty at Oxford Brookes University spanning a range of subject areas with an established reputation for excellence in teaching and research. We work closely with the NHS, as well as a range of other stakeholders in the provision of CPD and knowledge exchange.

The Faculty is currently seeking to recruit an experienced and proactive Head of Finance and Planning who has a demonstrated track record of financial management and leadership and a genuine appetite to work with a multi-faceted Faculty that needs to be responsive to changes in the environment and is keen to develop new business.

You will sit on the Faculty Executive Team and have a direct reporting line to the PVC Dean, together with frequent interaction with the Director of Finance and Legal Services.  You will hold a professional accountancy qualification and significant post qualification experience. 

As Head of Finance and Planning, your responsibilities will include management of the Faculty Finance Team, leadership on budget management and financial control, developing and reporting on the Faculty’s financial strategy and business plans and providing advice on its range of externally-facing commercial activities, both in the UK and overseas.
