Hays are exclusively partnered with a leading European FMCG business to recruit a Finance Manager for their Edinburgh operations. Based in the south of Edinburgh, you will be responsible for smooth running of the site driving the business forwards alongside the support of the Group Managing Director. This is a newly created role managing 1 site within 2 business units. Our client is one of the top European companies in the industry and employs around 1,400 employees 14 production plants in the group. This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager who will oversee the finance function of 13 million pound site.

Your new role
The finance manager is a newly created role which will support the Managing Director on how to take the business forwards following a period of growth. As Finance Manager you will be a key member of the Senior Management team responsible for monthly reporting & consolidation of Financial results. You will prepare the P&L and Balance sheet reporting to Group, support annual budget preparations and analysis and be responsible for relationship management with Banks and support funding arrangements. In addition you will support the management of payroll, preparing data and assessing business performance including margin analysis, cost reduction initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed
The Finance manager will be a commercial individual adding value through meaningful MI and variance analysis. You will manage an accounts assistant and represent the group at EMEA level with the ability to make sound decisions and provide recommendations to support the business develop and grow. You will be a fully qualified accountant, ideally with experience in a complex supply chain/manufacturing business with excellent leadership and communication skills. This role would be suited to an experienced finance manager or someone looking to step up into a senior role where they can develop their career.
