What you will be doing...

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Dart Group Finance Team as a Finance Graduate on our Finance Graduate Programme. Dart Group PLC is an AIM listed Leisure Travel and Distribution & Logistics group that boasted revenues of £2.2billion in the half year ended September 2018. The Group operates across 2 principal businesses, the “Leisure Travel” business which encompasses Jet2.com, the award-winning leisure airline and Jet2holidays, the ATOL protected package holidays operator, along with the “Distribution & Logistics” business comprising Fowler Welch, one of the UK’s leading logistics providers.

This role represents an incredible opportunity for the successful candidate to see and experience how a large Finance Team operates, whilst also providing the support and structure to obtain a professional accountancy qualification.

Our Finance Graduate Programme runs over three years and will give you exposure to a number of different teams across our Finance function allowing you to gain fantastic experience within a commercial environment. We will provide study support and finance your professional qualification while you progress though the programme, rotating into a new area of the Finance Team every 9-12 months. We understand this is a massive leap into your professional career, but be assured you will be supported every step of the way by your Manager and Finance Mentor who are both Senior Finance Professionals within the business, holding a wealth of experience and knowledge and who will always be on hand to assist with any queries or concerns you may have.

The areas of Finance here at Jet2.com / Jet2holidays that you will gain experience in are:
 

• Group Finance – there are a wide range of roles within the Group Finance Team, covering Group Reporting, Group Taxation, Aircraft Fleet Accounting, Budgeting & Forecasting, Financial Control and Accounts Payable / Receivable

• Leisure Travel Finance – working with business partners across the Company, providing support and analysis to understand and forecast performance, identifying opportunities and risks and quantifying the impact of business decisions on financial performance

• Treasury – including management of the Group’s cash and debt balances, card payment processing and currency / fuel hedging

At the end of your three year training programme, and once you have qualified, you will move into a permanent role in our Finance Team.

We are looking for 2 exceptional candidates with strong academics up to degree level (a degree incorporating accountancy modules is desirable, but not essential). You will have the ability to prioritise workloads and the drive to meet tight deadlines. You will be highly numerate with a strong attention to detail, able to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels of the business. Adaptable and flexible, with strong IT skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint you will be good with people, and as we are a very customer-orientated business it is important you can combine your interest in Finance with a strong customer focus.
