Description

At Pearson, we’re committed to a world that’s always learning and to our talented team who makes it all possible. From bringing lectures vividly to life to turning textbooks into laptop lessons, we are always re-examining the way people learn best, whether it’s one child in our own backyard or an education community across the globe. We are bold thinkers and standout innovators who motivate each other to explore new frontiers in an environment that supports and inspires us to always be better. By pushing the boundaries of technology — and each other to surpass these boundaries — we create seeds of learning that become the catalyst for the world’s innovations, personal and global, large and small.

Learner at the heart

Pearson is a global education company that helps people around the world to make progress in their lives through learning. With a rich heritage that combines 150 years of experience in publishing with the latest learning technology and digital services, we help people to learn whatever, wherever and however they choose.

We are now transforming Pearson to accelerate our activity in digital learning, education services and emerging markets, as well as to simplify and drive efficiency in our business. This will enable us to make a lasting impact in helping to solve some of the most important challenges in global education.

Why we need you

We believe education is a vital force that can empower people, help them to reach their potential and contribute to more connected communities, all around the world.

Our strength comes from our outstanding people; our strong relationships in the education world; our expertise in using technology to help people learn; our global footprint and local reach; and our position as a profitable, global company with a unifying sense of purpose.

We're investing in our technology and operations. By working at Pearson, you have a unique chance to make a real difference to the lives of people all over the world.

Across the world we believe strength and success comes from diversity in our people - all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply. In the US, Pearson is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/V/D, and a member of E-Verify.

About Technology & Global Operations

We’re going through the biggest transformation in Pearson’s history and Technology is at the centre of that. We’re not just building a glossy front end, we’re transforming from the inside-out, building advanced global technology platforms to provide the foundations needed to create and sustain Pearson’s digital future.

We’re advancing and improving teaching and learning

Through public cloud, data, advance analytics, AI and the expertise to build the best eCommerce capabilities, we’re putting Pearson on the path to become the Netflix and Amazon of the Education sector. We’re helping students learn in new ways - the ways they want, but most importantly, the way that helps them succeed… all of that while helping teachers spend more and better focused time with them - this is Technology with purpose!

We’re making working here more enjoyable - for everyone at Pearson

For all Pearson’s employees, whether in technical or non-technical roles, we’re making jobs more enjoyable by simplifying slow and cumbersome processes, helping remove the manual administrative burden to give people more bandwidth to think, go the extra mile they always wanted to but couldn’t find time for and innovate. People will find it easier to collaborate with other teams elsewhere in the world as these new streamlined and globally standardized processes enable common ways of working.

We believe in you for who you are, not what you are

You only have to look at our Technology teams to see we’re a really diverse group - in fact one of Pearson’s most - whether that’s sideways or top to bottom - we truly believe that makes us stronger and more innovative. We embrace talent that’s as diverse as the customers and learners we serve because we believe empathy, not just market data and insights is needed to create the best solutions. Our differences make the difference!
